Hi Guys and Gals.
November 2023 was very disappointing for surfers as it was pretty nonexistent throughout the entire month. Either steddy south winds or a lack of swell made the entire month unsurfable everywhere on Rote Island. Talking to guys in different parts of Indonesia it was the same with tiny waves and unfavorable winds. November isn’t always like this it can still normally have descent swells and light offshore winds but just not this year. Guests were very low in numbers during November and it seem other resorts closed a little early expat had left and very few westerners were wandering around.
This hasn’t stopped us at Lualemba Bungalows from being busy we have been taking advantage of renovating bungalows and chopping away at the gardens making it a better place.
The serenity of running water from the waterfalls of the natural pool guests at Lualemba love to relax reading a book or just kicking back thinking of their job back at home NOT.
Always On The Improve
Lualemba Bungalow Resort has every building constructed with it’s own individual design making it again different to any other resort or accommodation around Nemberala. Not only that we are always trying to improve and modernise our bungalows for our guests to have the best comforts Jenet and I just love what we have created. Some of the first bungalows we built were a little compact so as their roofs have needed replacing we have stretched them out so guests have more personal room to enjoy their stay. This particular bungalow we have made the inside almost 2 meters larger and created a 2nd terrace area. Keeping the traditional Rotenese looks outside we have been using a new PVCA roofing product on the roofs to give guests a much cleaner, vermont free environment inside. Though it is difficult to decide whether keeping building products natural throughout or maintenance easy as prioritise comfort and cleanliness for guests we are happy with our new improvements. Battling humidity and thunderstorms this renovation has been a challenge for everyone involved.
